"Today's events should move us, shock us, shame us into acting.  What are we waiting for?  What else do we need to see? Last Sunday, one day after the third anniversary of the attack on our capitol, Elise Stefanik went on Meet the Press and said, “I have concerns about the treatment of January 6 hostages."

The white nationalist terrorists who tried to destroy our democracy and give control of our government to an Oompa-Loompa dictator are not hostages. Those J6 insurrectionists who’ve been sentenced to jail time are not hostages.  They're criminals.

A hostage is what kidnappers take, or bank robbers, or Hamas, or the Iranian, Russian, and North Korean governments. Patriotic Americans don’t equate our justice system to systems run by terrorists and dictators.

That’s what this choice is about…Donald Trump is a scab.  Donald Trump is a billionaire and that’s who he represents. 

When I first came into office, we made some headlines by saying that our endorsements would be earned.  We’ve said we’d stand with whoever stood with us in our contract fight…We need to know who’s going to sit in the most powerful seat in the world, and help us win as a united working class.  So, if our endorsements must be earned, Joe Biden has earned it.

With 13 million children facing hunger in the United States, 15 Republican Governors are turning down federal funds to feed hungry children over the summer. The Biden Administration program helps feed kids who get subsidized school lunches during the summer when school lunches are not available.

"No child in this country should go hungry," Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack told the Associated Press. "They certainly shouldn't go hungry because they lose access to nutritious school meals during the summer months."

In saying “No!” to hungry children, Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen, whose net worth is estimated at $50 million, said “I don’t believe in welfare.” 

"Someone like Elise Stefanik has no problem going after Ivy League Presidents.  What about Donald Trump who dines with Nick Fuentes who is an unreconstructed holocaust revisionist neo-Nazi who said that Jews don’t belong in western civilization.  Where is Elise Stefanik on that point?  Donald Trump was the one who saw very fine people on both sides of an anti-semitic riot called by neo-Nazi groups in Charlottesville in 2017.  So, if we’re going to have a conversation about anti-semitism, let’s talk about real anti-semitism in the Republican Party."

Because that’s precisely what would become of the United States with Donald Trump as president and Jordan as House speaker.”
