Biden implores Congress to act in wake of Super Bowl shootingFebruary 15, 2024
"Today's events should move us, shock us, shame us into acting. What are we waiting for? What else do we need to see? How many more families need to be torn apart? It is time to act. That's where I stand. And I ask the country to stand with me. To make your voice heard in Congress so we finally act to ban assault weapons, to limit high capacity magazines, strengthen background checks...We have to decide who we are as a country. For me, we're a country where people should have the right to go to school, to go to church, to walk the street and to attend a Super Bowl celebration without fear of losing your life to gun violence."

Biden on 51st Anniversary of Roe v. WadeJanuary 22, 2024
"Fifty-one years ago today, the Supreme Court recognized a woman's constitutional right to make deeply personal decisions with her doctor—free from the interference of politicians. Then, a year and a half ago, the Court made the extreme decision to overturn Roe and take away a constitutional right. As a result, tens of millions of women now live in states with extreme and dangerous abortion bans. Because of Republican elected officials, women's health and lives are at risk …On this day and every day, Vice President Harris and I are fighting to protect women's reproductive freedom against Republican officials' dangerous, extreme and out-of-touch agenda. We stand with the vast majority of Americans who support a woman's right to choose, and continue to call on Congress to restore the protections of Roe in federal law once and for all."

Stefanik echoes Trump--Calls J6 terrorists "hostages"January 10, 2024
Last Sunday, one day after the third anniversary of the attack on our capitol, Elise Stefanik went on Meet the Press and said, “I have concerns about the treatment of January 6 hostages."
The white nationalist terrorists who tried to destroy our democracy and give control of our government to an Oompa-Loompa dictator are not hostages. Those J6 insurrectionists who’ve been sentenced to jail time are not hostages. They're criminals.
A hostage is what kidnappers take, or bank robbers, or Hamas, or the Iranian, Russian, and North Korean governments. Patriotic Americans don’t equate our justice system to systems run by terrorists and dictators.

Kennedys vs. RFK Jr.October 17, 2023
"The decision by our brother Bobby to run as a third-party candidate against Joe Biden is dangerous to our country. Bobby might share the same name as our father, but he does not share the same values, vision or judgment. We denounce his candidacy and believe it to be perilous for our country."

Trump vs. our VeteransOctober 3, 2023
“What can I add that has not already been said? A person that thinks those who defend their country in uniform, or are shot down or seriously wounded in combat, or spend years being tortured as POWs are all ‘suckers’ because ‘there is nothing in it for them’…A person who cavalierly suggests that a selfless warrior who has served his country for 40 years in peacetime and war should lose his life for treason – in expectation that someone will take action. A person that has nothing but contempt for our democratic institutions, our Constitution, and the rule of law. There is nothing more that can be said. God help us.”

Trump vs. Working AmericansSeptember 25, 2023
“He stopped a minimum wage hike, restricted overtime pay, made it harder to join a union, gutted health and safety protections for workers, tried to take away health care for millions by repealing the Affordable Care Act and then passed a big giant tax cut that benefited the richest people in America and corporations, especially those that want to ship people’s jobs overseas. That was his record.”
Jon Favreau on Pod Save America, citing Trump’s actual record as President on issues affecting working Americans. Trump has attempted to portray himself as a friend to the working class and will make a speech in Detroit on Wednesday, supposedly in solidarity with the striking UAW workers. Don’t be fooled.
It's time to choose. Are you on the side of the U.S. Constitution and American democracy or are you on the side of a would-be strongman who has told us exactly how he plans to govern if returned to the White House?

UAW Endorses Biden for PresidentJanuary 25, 2024
"This November, we can stand up and elect someone who wants to stand with us and support our cause. Or we can elect someone who will divide us and fight us every step of the way.
That’s what this choice is about…Donald Trump is a scab. Donald Trump is a billionaire and that’s who he represents.
When I first came into office, we made some headlines by saying that our endorsements would be earned. We’ve said we’d stand with whoever stood with us in our contract fight…We need to know who’s going to sit in the most powerful seat in the world, and help us win as a united working class. So, if our endorsements must be earned, Joe Biden has earned it.
Today I’m proud to announce that UAW is endorsing Joe Biden for President of the United States."

GOP Governors Say "No!" to Hungry ChildrenJanuary 11, 2024
With 13 million children facing hunger in the United States, 15 Republican Governors are turning down federal funds to feed hungry children over the summer. The Biden Administration program helps feed kids who get subsidized school lunches during the summer when school lunches are not available.
"No child in this country should go hungry," Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack told the Associated Press. "They certainly shouldn't go hungry because they lose access to nutritious school meals during the summer months."
In saying “No!” to hungry children, Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen, whose net worth is estimated at $50 million, said “I don’t believe in welfare.”

Stefanik's Antisemitism HypocrisyDecember 12, 2023
"Someone like Elise Stefanik has no problem going after Ivy League Presidents. What about Donald Trump who dines with Nick Fuentes who is an unreconstructed holocaust revisionist neo-Nazi who said that Jews don’t belong in western civilization. Where is Elise Stefanik on that point? Donald Trump was the one who saw very fine people on both sides of an anti-semitic riot called by neo-Nazi groups in Charlottesville in 2017. So, if we’re going to have a conversation about anti-semitism, let’s talk about real anti-semitism in the Republican Party."

Jim Jordan - Wrecking BallOctober 17, 2023
“U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan’s reason for being is to destroy things, not build them. That’s undoubtedly at the heart of why the Urbana-area Republican as of late Friday was still trying to gather support from enough of his colleagues to become speaker of the House, even though he had emerged as the HOP nominee. Just maybe, deep in the recesses of their souls, the prospect of this country having its very own Axis of Evil frightened even them. As it should. Because that’s precisely what would become of the United States with Donald Trump as president and Jordan as House speaker.”

Biden Backs UAWSeptember 22, 2023
“Over the past decade, auto companies have seen record profits, including the last few years, because of the extraordinary skill and sacrifices of the UAW workers. But those record profits have not been shared fairly, in my view, with those workers…Over generations, auto workers sacrificed so much to keep the industry alive and strong, especially through the economic crisis and the pandemic. Workers deserve a fair share of the benefits they helped create for an enterprise…Record corporate profits — which they have — should be shared by record contracts for the UAW.”
